[править] Betawiki: better support for your language in MediaWiki

Dear community. I am writing to you to promote a special wiki called Betawiki. This wiki facilitates the localisation (l10n) and internationalisation (i18n) of the MediaWiki interface. You may have changed many messages here on Wikipedia to use your language for your language profile, but if you would log in to for example the English language Wiktionary, you would not be able to use the interface as well translated as here.

If you wish to contribute to better support of your language in MediaWiki, as well as for many MediaWiki extensions, please visit Betawiki, create an account and request translator priviledges. You can see the current status of localisation of your language on meta and do not forget to get in touch with others that may already be working on your language on Betawiki.

If you have any further questions, please let me know on my talk page on the Dutch Wikipedia. We will try and assist you as much as possible, for example by importing all messages from a local wiki for you to start with.

You can also find us on the Freenode IRC network in the channel #mediawiki-i18n where we would be happy to help you get started.

Hi, this is just a first introduction message to tell you: there is more to come. Hello. I am only learning Russian and I could not translate a lot of this page. I recently noticed on {{welcome}} and on user warning templates, the bottom has a section in english. Why don't we have all the other languages? 67.150.13.206 03:15, 4 октября 2007 (UTC)

Hello! I’m KRLS and I’m making a Research Project to know which are the indicators that determine the quality of a Wikipedia. To find them all, I need you, as an experienced wikipedian, to answer this survey right here. • sorry, I really wanted to answer your questions but the quality of your English translation is quite poor so I can not understand what you actually want. plus is it really possible to espimate an average number of edits per article? how can I guess how many articles contain maintetance templates etc? this requires a lot of work, which I am not prepared to do. Sorry for my poor english. If you can translate the survey better, I will be very happy. You don't have to say the number of maintetance template. You should say if you are agree or desagree that "the numeber of maintetance template" are a indicator of quality of all wikipedia. Yes, but if I have sixty answers of my survey in differents idioms and If I can have one hundred of survey or more I have a part of wikipedia community. Hello, we received an e-mail via OTRS (ticket #2008021310009761) concerning the article Барракуда (торпеда). The producer doesn't use the name Barracuda anymore; on the producer's website it's now just labeled as superkavitierender Unterwasserlaufkörper (supercavitating torpedo).
