Overtures and introductions

I see from the sentence structure that Gerrold's joke about preferring to make overtures rather than introductions to Duane made it into this version. Does the double-entendre actually work in Russian, or was it just translated literally?--SarekOfVulcan 19:09, 21 июля 2009 (UTC)
