Basic Rate Interface (BRI): ISDN Basic Rate Interface (BRI) allows delivery of an end-to-end, standard-adherent digital connection to the desktop. As a result, voice and data communications can be sent and received more reliably and at a higher rate of speed. The introduction of ISDN BRI represents the next major step in the evolution toward ISDN.
