English: Lautaro ( "Speedy Southern Caracara") was a Mapuche military leader and protagonist of the War of Arauco in Chile. He defeated and exterminated the Spanish forces of Governor Pedro de Valdivia and was almost able to expel them from the area when he was killed in battle.

Trehuaco, ca. 1534 – Peteroa, 1557) fue un destacado líder militar mapuche en la Guerra de Arauco durante la primera fase de la conquista española. En pareja con Guacolda, su prometida desde pequeño, quien lo acompañó en la resistencia.
