Sorry for writing in English. I just realized that en:Itzamnaaj B'alam II is called "Itzamnaaj B'alam III" in this wiki. You also have a featured list of the rulers of Yaxchilan, in which it says that Itzamnaaj B'alam II ruled from 599-611 and Itzamnaaj B'alam III (called II in the English wiki) ruled from 681—742. It's totally different with the English version, where Itzamnaaj B'alam II ruled from 681—742 (corresponding with "III" in the Russian version) and Itzamnaaj B'alam III from 769–800. I've asked Simon Burchell to check the sources, and here is what he found:

"I just checked this against two solid sources (Sharer & Traxler The Ancient Maya and Martin & Grube's Chronicle ofthe Ancient Maya King and Queens). Chronicle (2000 ed.) states that Itzamnaaj B'alaam II ruled from 681-742 (pp. 122-123), and The Ancient Maya is in agreement (p. 433. of the 2006 edition). Chronicle has Itzamnaaj B'alaam III ruling from 769 to at least 800 (p. 134.). The Ancient Maya p. 434 has Itzamnaaj B'alaam III born in 752, and ruling from c.769 to c.800. With regard to the image, Martin & Grube do indeed have this in the section on Itzamnaaj B'alaam III, with the event taking place in 783. In this case the Russian wiki is clearly wrong." - Simon Burchell

So could someone fix the title and the content of this article, since it's not accurate? Thank you Mimihitam (обс.) 08:59, 22 ноября 2018 (UTC)[ответить]

  • Dear, Mimihitam! could you say, somebody in the English Wikipedia noticed that a number of names of the names of Maya coincide in meaning with the Turkic names? In particular, Yaxchilan in Turkic is also translated as "green", and also Uxmal in Turkic languages also means the third.
