Описание |
A May 20, 1928 Seattle Times article provides a tour of the company's plant and a brief history of the company: "The Albers Brothers Milling Company was organized in 1895 in Portland, Ore., with Bernard, Henry, William, George and Frank Albers, five brothers, all of them millers and one other, as founders. It was started with a capitalization of $15,000. It was in the beginning little more than a small mill and feed store. Groceries were sold as a sideline. The company's growth was rapid and before long it sought to extend its field of operations. Thus, in March 1902, a deal was made whereby it acquired the interests of the Seattle Cereal Company in this city. This concern had a small plant at 303 Railroad Ave. and was engaged in manufacturing rolled oats, wheat flakes, rye and graham flour and feed products. Two years later the business under the management of the Albers Brothers Milling Company leased a tract on the waterfront at the foot of Massachusetts Street. There a new factory
