Norsk bokmål: Sovjetiske soldater oppstilt på jernbanestasjonen. Her ble kommisjonen ønsket velkommen av en deputasjon fra byen og invitert til åpningen av den nye kanalen en uke senere. Ett av bildene fra reisen gjennom Armenia i perioden 7 juni til 2 juli 1925. På anmodning fra Det Internasjonale Arbeidsbyrå (ILO) og Folkeforbundet reiste Fridtjof Nansen sammen med en utpekt kommisjon sakkyndige for å besøke landet og undersøke planer for kunstig vanning av ørkenområder med tanke på å overføre armenske flyktninger dit. (Leninakan).
