Theyanswered, In the city of Bethlehem, for so the prophet has said. Then Herodcalled the wise men to him, and sent them to Bethlehem, saying, Go and lookdiligently for the young child, and when you have found him bring me word,that I may come and worship him also. But he said this, not because he wantedto worship Jesus: it was because he wanted to put him to death. After Herod had spoken to them, the wise men departed from Jerusalem,and went toward Bethlehem. And as they went, the star which they had seenin their own land, appeared to them again. When they saw the star, they werefilled with joy, for it moved on before them, and showed them the way, till itcame and stood over the house where the young child was.
