Proclamation

Whereas, Company I has received Orders to leave for the War To-morrow, Friday Morning, April 29, and whereas the people desire to signify to the Company their appreciation of their brave and patriotic action in volunteering in their Country's Cause, Now therefore, I recommend that all business houses be closed between the hours of 4 and 6 o'clock this afternoon, and that all citizens, laying aside all other affairs, close their places of business and attend the Reception at the Opera House at 4 o'clock to be given under the auspices of Robson Post, G. A. R. [Grand Army of the Republic] And all citizens are requested to assemble at the M. & St. L depot to-morrow morning at 5:45 and join in the "Good Bye" to the Company.
