nstalled in the houseis a pipe organ with sound ducts to boththis social hall and the living room above. The outlet of this duct in the living room isconcealed by a carved oak grill fitting inwith the character of the doors and otherornamental woodwork. A covered colonade leads from the mainhouse to a garage, shop and tool storage,forming a north side enclosure for the gar-den court. The garage is fitted for minorwork and includes a regular gas fillingpump. Several improvements in the houseinclude such conveniences as a cold storageplant, so arranged that furs may be hungaway. There is a fully equipped laundryand an oil burning concealed vapor heat-ing system. An electric elevator leads fromthe basement up through the house, there-by saving many a step, due to the high ceil-ings. The residence, with its out buildings andlandscaping, possesses uniformity of styleand character that reflect capable handlingon the part of the architects, Messrs. Sid-ney B., and Noble and Archie T. Newsom.
