My dear Sir,
I asked you, in all simplicity to purchase that little table on my account; & I have hesitated whether I ought to allow you to assume the burthen.
But I cannot resist the temptation [p. 2] to accept it from you. It will have for me now a double interest, first, from its associate with my good Dr, &, secondly, from the very flattery manner in which you present it to me.
It is pleasant to think, that, while in [p. 3] the discharge of important public duties, I have secured your friendly sympathies.
