Kijabe girls' home, Africa Inland Mission, Kijabe, Kenya, c. 1914. The missionary in the photograph may be Hulda Stumpf, who helped to run the home from 1907 to 1930. Stumpf was killed in 1930, possibly because she objected to the girls in the home being subjected to female genital mutilation. The missionary in the photograph resembles Stumpf.
