“Mr Hunt I found your flour on Sunday last As I lef It Weir agreede With Spraker Which took Tuesday [inserted] Two hundred and sixty one barreles At four shillings per barrel as far as the Ice Would permit on Which Wier Went with the Boat and left me to forward the Rest on which I sent fifty Four [on Tuesday 6/][inserted] Wensday J Spenser agreede to forward without Delay [the rest][inserted] at 6/ per barrel Which is to go on the Boat and if Detained by the ice[inserted] to be carted As for taking the Boat With the load Mr Wier Mr Savage and several otheres Advised me out of the notion the Ice being so thick that It was acounted Useles to try Mr savage Drew his by the [Noo?] With from twenty to twenty five horses half loaded Monday Night it Snowed and hailed Tuesday it rained and proved fair Tuesday night it froze a little
