It is to be hoped that theywill perceive that the best way to realize theirhigh ambitions and make friends among thenations is to go slow and keep their ship of stateon a steady keel. Madame Curie is studying its possible uses inmedicine, and the gift of a gram of it to her byAmerican women will help greatly in her usefulwork. Madame Curie visited a number of ourcolleges, and several of the colleges for womengave her honorary degrees. Professor Einstein is the author of a theorythat is not easy for most of us to get hold of. Ittries to explain the plan on which the universe isrun. It is called the Theory of Relativity, andrests upon the relations of bodies, including theplanets, in motion. The Watch Tower man is nt very smart, andhas to own up that Professor Einstein has him 844 THE WATCH TOWER stumped. But then, it has been said that thereare not more than twelve men in the world whocan really understand the Theory of Relativityand all that goes with it—and President Hardingsmilingly admits that he is not one of them.
