/^ONTREXEVILLE (Vosges). Situated at an alti-^^ tude of 1150 feet, is one of the best known andoldest French resorts. There are several springs, the principal one being theFountaine de Contrexeville, now better known under thename of the Source du Pavilion; the waters contain sul-phate and bicarbonate of lime. TREATMENT—Almost entirely internal. RECOMMENDED in cases of liver diseases, diseasesof the kidney and bladder, diabetes and gout, gravel andgenito-urinary troubles. SEASON—From the 20th of May to the 20th ofSeptember. Numerous hotels of all classes and every other kind ofaccommodations; beautiful promenades in surroundingwoods; train excursions every week to Gerardmer andDomremy. Concerts, theatres, open and closed promenades, casino,salles de jeu, tennis, shooting. Distance from Paris 276 miles via the Eastern Railwayof France. 92
