Краткое описание

Описание

Stamp of the German Democratic Republic; 1984; commemorative stamp of the issue "Castles in the GDR – I"; issue of 4 stamps and 1 PSE ("PSE" = "Postal Stationery Envelope"); The depicted stamp is GDR Michel No. 2910 from 1984 and shows as motive a view to the "Burg Kriebstein" (at the village Kriebstein, near Waldheim, district of "Mittelsachsen", Saxony, Germany).; This castle was built in the 14th century as "Hill castle" (German: "Höhenburg") and as such as "Spur castle" (German: "Spornburg"), because this castle is located on a rock over the river „Zschopau“).; This stamp was postmarked with an one-circle first-day special cancellation with 35.0 mm diameter from 1085 Berlin, showing a view to the "Burg Ranis" as central motive (near Pößneck at the village Ranis, the oldest parts are built in the 12th century, the contemporary look goes mainly back to the 17th century as the castle was rebuilt in the style of the Saxonian Late Renaissance.).
