The Kskimos gather the eggs of both eider dui-k and little auk l>y the lioat load. I have seen si.\ thousand gatliered in a few hours. These eggs will remain fresh for at least a year if placed under the rocks, away from the direct rays of the summer sun. Kggs are sometimes boiled but more often are eaten raw and frozen. A frozen egg as a winter delicacy brings as much enjoyment to an Ks- kimo child as does candy to the child in the United States Ki.-.
