RUTHERFORD BIRCHARD HAYES, NINETEENTH PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES. HAYESINE — HAYNE Oxford or Holy Lake, Knee Lake, and severalother lakes, into James Bay, near the mouthof the Xelson River. The largest tributariesare the Shamattawa and the Fox. The lengthof the Hayes is about 300 miles, Hayesine, hazin, a hydrous borate of cal-cium, occurring as a sediment consisting ofsnowy-white, silky flakes, in the waters of hotsprings in Chile.
