This is the more satis-factory and important, as it assures a high degree ol confi-dence in the values of the constants of the numericalformula which we shall presently determine. It is desiredto remark further the interesting circumstance thai this series of IoNH is the onh one in astronomical annals which,taken alone, illustrates in a satisfactorj way the existenceof the seven-year cycle in the range of the latitude-variation.
