With faith shaken in song and in story?Do all writers lie ? must we part with a sigh From our heroes, despoiled of their glory? What can we believe in ? Our senses take leave inThe whirl this new light has brought to our brain. Is the past all a hum? If to that we must come.Then how can our faith in the present remain? For to-morrow thats past. We doubt all things at last,Till — even the nose on your face isnt plain?
