As the patient improves in health, the quantity of water for the injection maybe lessened and the temperature gradually lowered and then discontinued. Butfor some months it would be prudent, for a few days after each period, to resumethe injections at a degree or two above blood heat, and to have recourse to themwhenever their use should seem indicated to counteract the effect of some impru-dence.
