Fourierism, Millerism,Mormonism, Mesmerism, Abolitionism, and all the antisand isms from anti-masonry and the Perfectionists toAbolitionism and Teetotalism, had their beginnings inAmerica around 1835 ; and like the virgins in the Bibleparable, some of them were wise and some were foolish.But they were all efforts toward liberty.
