Public domain This work was first published in Paraguay and is now in the public domain because its copyright protection has expired by virtue of the Law No. 1328/98 on Copyright and Related Rights, enacted 1998 (details). The work meets one of the following criteria:
  • It is an anonymous work or pseudonymous work and 70 years have passed since the date of its publication (or creation, whatever date is the latest)
  • It is a collective, audiovisual or broadcast work, and 70 years have passed since the date of its publication (or creation, whatever date is the latest)
  • It is another kind of work, and 70 years have passed since the year of death of the author (or last-surviving author)
  • It is one of "official texts of legislative, administrative or judicial character, or translations thereof"
Public domain

This work is in the public domain in the United States because it meets three requirements:

  1. it was first published outside the United States (and not published in the U.S. within 30 days),
  2. it was first published before 1 March 1989 without copyright notice or before 1964 without copyright renewal or before the source country established copyright relations with the United States,
  3. it was in the public domain in its home country (Paraguay) on the URAA date (1 January 1996).

It is also in the public domain in other countries and areas where the copyright terms of anonymous or pseudonymous works are 80 years or less since publication.

This is an anonymous work or pseudonymous work and 70 years have passed since the date of its creation. By 1996 it was out of copyright because, according with 1328/1998 Article 135 of the Paraguayian Law, any photograph that is not a "work" (original intellectual creation in the literary or artistic field) is copyrighted until 50 years after its creation. Copyright expired, at least, on 1 January 1990 or before.
