Хельмут Германн В. Хофер (родился 18 февраля или 28 февраля 1956) --- немецко-американский математик, один из основателей симплектической топологии.[1] он является членом Национальной Академии наук,[2] лаурят 1999 Островский премии[3] а в 2013 году Хайнц премия Хопфа. С 2009 года работает в Институте перспективных исследований в Принстоне.[1] Известен работами по симплектической геометрии, динамических системи дифференциальных уравнений
