Образование
Шумм получил степень бакалавра в области физики в колледже Вильгельма и Марии в 1972 году, степень магистра в области развития семьи и ребенка в Канзасском государственном университете в 1976 году, и степень доктора философии в области семейных исследований в en:Purdue University в 1979 году[4].
Карьера

Область исследований
