Уолтер Р. Шумм (род. 9 января 1951 г.)[1] — профессор кафедры семейных исследований и социальных служб Государственного университета штата Канзас[2]. Главный редактор академического журнала «Обзор брака и семьи» (Marriage and Family Review)[3] в 2010—2018 г[1].

Образование

Шумм получил степень бакалавра в области физики в колледже Вильгельма и Марии в 1972 году, степень магистра в области развития семьи и ребенка в Канзасском государственном университете в 1976 году, и степень доктора философии в области семейных исследований в en:Purdue University в 1979 году[4].

Карьера

В течение 30 лет (1972—2002) Шумм служил полковником в резерве армии США и Армии Национальной гвардии. Поступил на факультет Канзасского государственного университета в 1979 году[4].

Область исследований

Если ученый-гей может получить деньги от про-гей группы и сказать, что она на него не влияет, я не понимаю, почему консервативный ученый не может получить деньги от организации и тоже сказать, что она на него не влияет»[7].
