Происхождение названия[править код]

Хьюсеновский атлас Армении, стр. 119: "From Vaxtank' Tonk'ik was continued this fourth Siwnid line of the Vaxtank'eank', princes of Xac'en, from whom, in turn, was descended Hasan Jalal-Dawla, the progenitor of the house of Hasan-ialalean, which ruled as meliks of Xac'en until the arrival of the Russians in the early nineteenth century and which continued the senior line of this fourth branch of the house of Siwnik'. From Gregory the Great was descended the junior or fifth line known as the Dop'eank' from Gregory's wife Susan-Dop'.".

Там же на стр. 163, в числе прочих меликов: "3. The house of Melik-Beglarian, meliks of Giulistan (Per. Golestan). This house represents the third line of the dynasty of Siunik'-Khach'en, being descended from Kara (Ghara) Grigor 'Gregory the Great' (a younger son of Hasan I the Great, grandfather of Jalal-Daula-Hasan) and his wife Susan-Dop', sister of Sargis II, Prince Mkhargrdzeli. Their descendants, known as the Dop'eank' ('Dop'ids', as opposed to the Vakht'ankeank' or 'Vakht'ankids') received Giulistan in the far north of Karabagh as their share of the family domains, together with the great castle of that name, although we do not know when these allocations were actually made."
