Alpinism & Participation in Kotzebue Expedition: VERY QUESTIONABLE[править код]
The last two paragraphs of this entry on Georg Friedrich Parrot (1767-1852) need an URGENT REVIEW - or should be deleted: they are pure fantasy! How long will WIKI-RU permit such totally unsourced nonsense to remain on its pages?
As already noted in an earlier (2011) Observation: the participant in the Mount Arafat climb was the son of the present subject, Johann Jakob Friedrich Wilhelm Parrot (1792-1841), as also noted in his entry (Ivan Egorovich Parrot) in this WIKI, not the father (with all sorts of moanings about his age during the climb).
On the first Kotzebue Expedition there is much international literature (also in various WIKIs), with mention of all the participants - Georg Friedrich Parrot never appears among them! It is in any case unlikely he would have been absent for 3 years (1816-19) from his Dorpat University post.
