It's not a simple steel helmet, but a manganese steel helmet. Difference! It's a unique non-magnetic steel with high impact strength and extreme anti-wear properties due to its hard surface. It will achieve up to three times its surface hardness during an impact and thus makes the steel much more durable than any other ( like ordinary steel M1 helmets).
