English: On April 18-19, 1775, Paul Revere rode from Boston to Lexington to deliver a warning to American leaders that British troops were marching to Concord to destroy or confiscate supplies and ammunition. After warning officials in Lexington, Revere, William Dawes, and Samuel Prescott headed to Concord to warn officials there. Before there reached Concord, a British patrol of mounted soldiers stopped them and capture Paul Revere, ending his famous ride. This monument marks the location of his capture in Lincoln, Massachusetts.
