English: Roger Rosentreter digging up bulbs of Aase's onions (Allium aaseae) in the Boise foothills with other botanists in 2006 in an effort to save them from eminent destruction by the city's growing land fill (trash dump). The plants are still alive and permanent residents of the Idaho Botanical Garden in Boise.
