The bot's design is to combat the ongoing issues of dying links. Please see this discussion for the consensus supporting this bot.

This is a fully automatic bot.

Технические подробности/Technical details

The bot is written in PHP, and uses basic learning to improve performance. The information it acquires is drawn from other wikis IABot runs on.

The magic word only works on actual edits to the article. So no magic word for this exists.
