Norsk bokmål: Akvarell malt antagelig i 1889. Teltplass på et isflak ved østkysten av Grønland. Otto Neumann Knoph Sverdrup holder igjen båten hvor Balto sover. Han forhindrer at bølgene tar dem. (En lignende tegning av E. Nielsen publisert i boken «Paa Ski over Grønland, Kra 1890 s. 225).
English: Water-color painted probably in 1889. Tent site on an ice floe on the east coast of Greenland. Otto Neumann Knoph Sverdrup is holding onto the boat where Balto is sleeping. He is preventing the boat from being taken by the waves. (A similar drawing by E. Nielsen is published in the book Nansen, Fridtjof: «Paa Ski over Grønland», Kra 1890 p. 225 (On skis across Greenland)).
Deutsch: Aquarell vermutlich 1889 gemalt. Zeltplass auf einer Eisscholle an der Ostküste von Grönland. Otto Neumann Knoph Sverdrup hält das Boot dort zurück, wo Balto schläft. Er verhindert, dass die Wellen sie ergreift. (Eine ähnliche Zeichnung von E. Nielsen publiziert im Buch ³Paa Ski over Grønland, Kra 1890 S. 225)
