Russia in Sumo

Sorry for my writing in English. I cannot understand why my edit was comment-outed in twice, without acceptable reason. I used machinary translating system on google, but I checked it also by myself, based on Russo-Japanese Dictionary. Isn't it Russian? Though includes some mistakes in grammer, it would be enough to read for native Russians. And, I didn't wrote any lie. It's famous Taiho is the half of Ukrainian and Japanese. Excuse me, did you read my whole letters, Mr. Belshazzar? As wrote, I used my brain, too. Well, I'm a Japanese, and it's difficult to type Russian in correct. Well, I want to change the point of discussions. In this version of Sumo page, includes your edit, there's no information about Felixovich brothers, who have been already written in Russian Wiki. At least, it has to be improved, hasn't it? It's not important who write it, but what is written. Rc21, can you do me a favor and write what you're trying to say in 'Discussion' session in English? You seem to have much better handle of this language. Unfortunately Russian text is practically unreadable so it's very hard to "beautify" it since first one needs to understand it. Once we have it here I'll translate it. Thanks. Thanks for your proposal, Papushin. In fact, there's other things what I want to add this page, about the relationship between Russia (Soviet) and Sumo.

• 1. As I've written already, the greatest grand chamnpion "Yokoduna" (Ёкодзуна), with 32 times victory (as record), Taiho Koki (en:Taiho Koki) has an white emigre Ukrainian father, Маркиан Боришко. Taiho was born in 1940, on Poronaysk (Shikuka), Japanese Southern Sakhalin. According to Japanese Wiki, he has own Russian name, Vladimir. After WW2, Koki boy went to Hokkaido with his Japanese mother, but Borishko was arrested by Soviet government.
• 2. In 1965, Japan Ozumo Association selected USSR as the first official overseas festival country, memorial for re-establishment of diplomatic ralationship for 10 years. They visited Khavalovsk and Moskow, and showed their ceremonies and fights. But, in the strongest time in his sumo life, Yokoduna Taiho couldn't meet his father, who already dead at Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk for five years ago.
• 3. After retirement, Taiho works for the friendship between Japan and slavic countries. For example, it's founded sumo association in Kharkov. Taiho wants to visit this city - his father's hometown, but his stroke in blain prevents it. In 2002, Taiho invited from Northern Ossetia, Felixovich brothers, Сослана (in Japanese, Rohō) и Батраза Борадзова Феликсовича (in Japanese, Hakurozan). They are succeed for promote to Makunouchi (first grade), but Soslan is often critisized as "impolite" and "lack of fair spilits". There are other two Makunouchi wrestlers from ex-Soviet republics, Цагуриа Мераб Леван (en:Kokkai Futoshi) from Geogia, and Кайдо Ховелсон (en:Baruto Kaito) from Estonia.
• 4. In Sumo's tournament places (en:Honbasho) and several training houses (en:Heya), Russian language is sometimes spoken. Now, both of Yokoduna is Mongolians (en:Asashoryu Akinori and new promoted en:Hakuho Sho), and one of three "Ozeki" (Champion) came from Bulgaria (en:Kotoōshū Katsunori). As Japanese newspapers, they are enough to understand, and often use Russian to communicate among foreign buddies. It's also worthy information, Felixovich brothers acted the monthly guests of NHK (Japan public broadcasting agancy) television Russian Language Lessons in 2005.

I found it, most of Russian-origined persons, famous in Japan. For example, do you know Виктор Константинович/Фëдорович Старухин (en:Victor Starffin)? He was the best baseball pitcher in late 1930's and 40's, with the white gap by WW2. I wish to introduce them, but it must be hard because of my poor ability. So, your help is precious for me. Сумо и Россия

А какое отношение имеют сумоисты с грузинскими и украинскими корнями к России? Может тогда всех японских сумоистов к "российским" приравняем, ведь Сахалин и Курилы "бывшие японские територии" сейчас в составе России. А там гляди и китайских ушуистов росиянами назовут. Ведь Далянь (Порт-Артур) "город русской славы", а Маньчжурия, по словам Витте, "желторуская земля". В разделе "Сумо и Россия" только два сумоиста-осетина можна с натяжкою русскими назвать. Сумо с кольями

Рад приветствовать всех любителей Сумо!
Отн. варианта с кольями (копьями) мне тоже где-то попадалось, но не помню где. Вероятно это была форма жертвоприношения наподобие ацтекской (?) иuры в мяч, после которой выигравшую (sic!) команду приносили в жертву. KW 18:07, 4 сентября 2008 (UTC)

Дохё

Мне кажется, что формулировка "бросаемая соль символизирует чистоту" не совсем верна. Скорее соль символизирует ОЧИЩЕНИЕ дохё от злых духов. Мне кажется, что это разные вещи. Svinoed 19:13, 2 февраля 2010 (UTC)
